Kevin M. Moran, MD, is a highly specialized and board certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in spine surgery. He graduated summa cum laude with a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in the biomedical field. He worked for Texaco developing advanced control programs for petrochemical plants prior to pursuing medicine. Dr. Moran graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in the Texas Medical Center in Houston. Following general orthopedic training, Dr. Moran completed a spine fellowship at the Institute of Spinal Disorders at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After, his fellowship Dr. Moran was appointed an assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine and collaborated with researchers at the Baylor Center for Cell and Gene Therapy which resulted in a patent for minimally invasive spine fusion. He takes a conservative and evidence-based treatment approach, using advanced therapies, including minimally invasive computer-navigated spine surgery.
